Head Zone and Beauty Zone
At Head Zone and Beauty Zone, our on-campus hair and beauty salons, you can experience how the industry works firsthand in a safe and supported environment.
Practice and perfect your skills whilst having the freedom to ask questions and learn at your own pace.
The salons are open during the week to real customers and are managed and run by Te Pūkenga NMIT students.
Head Zone
Open to the public and operating exactly as a professional salon does, Head Zone offers everything from shampoo and sets to conditioning treatments, blowdrys, foils, cuts and perms.
A range of retail products is also available for customers to purchase.
Beauty Zone
Featuring some of the most up-to-date equipment available, our purpose-built Beauty Zone salon is capable of providing some of the latest treatments required for industry. As a student, you will help to run the salon as a business and offer a wide range of treatments to the public.
