Fees

Fees vary depending on what you are studying.

Once your application is successful, you will receive a confirmation letter. The confirmation letter includes a Secure Your Enrolment form that needs to be signed and returned to confirm your place on the programme, along with the payment of fees.

Payment options may differ between domestic and international learners, please see below for the options available to you.

Once you have confirmed your place, you will receive an invoice for the fees you need to pay before the programme start date.

Ways of paying your fees

You can pay by

Cash
Direct credit
EFTPOS
Credit card (Mastercard or Visa) - there is a credit card surcharge of 1.5% of the value of the transaction for all manual payments. Pay online(external link)
Automatic payment (payment by installments) for fees over $1,000. Note - To pay by automatic payment, all other payment options need to be investigated first, and this option requires prior approval.

Payments by employers/organisations

NMIT requires permission from your employer/organisation to pay your fees. Please ask your employer/organisation to email enrolments@nmit.ac.nz confirming this arrangement.

Student debt

You must settle all amounts owed to NMIT incurred as a result of your programme, accommodation, overdue library books, or participation in NMIT activities. Results will be withheld, and you cannot graduate until all debts are paid. It is best to talk to student support if you are experiencing financial difficulties so we can help with this rather than wait until graduation.

NMIT reserves the right to supply personal information relating to a student to debt collection agencies or to any other person as may be necessary in respect of any debt a student may have with NMIT.
