This course aims to develop participants’ conversational abilities, improve their pronunciation, increase vocabulary /characters, and extend your understanding of Chinese grammar.

This course is designed for those who have a basic knowledge of Chinese or have successfully completed Chinese Language Beginners 1.

Students may stay in this class for two terms and do this course a couple of times before they are ready to move up into the Chinese Language Intermediate course.

If you are a full-time secondary school student, NMIT is able to enrol you if you meet all of the following:

are 16 years of age and over, and
attend this course outside of normal school hours, and
have obtained approval from your school principal (or approval from your home school supervisor if you are homeschooled).
