NMIT’s programmes provide a direct pathway into employment through New Zealand Certificates that give you practical customer service and sales skills for a range of frontline jobs. 

Programmes are delivered via a blend of real-world learning, research, work placements, field trips and classroom lessons, as well as hands-on hospitality experience in our on-campus restaurant, Rata Room. 

You’ll connect with local hospitality and tourism operators, make valuable contacts in the industry, and potentially even land a job before you graduate.
