You can choose to specialise in Carpentry or Joinery and gain a qualification that will prepare you to walk straight into the workforce.

With strong built industry relationships throughout the Top of the South region, NMIT also offers a tutor-managed apprenticeship programme that will see you working full-time in the industry while attending block courses to become a fully-qualified building professional.

Our facilities are top-notch and designed to emulate a real-world working environment. You’ll get to put your training into action in NMIT’s carpentry barn, joinery workshop and enclosed construction yard.
