The Sport Science course at NMIT in Nelson, New Zealand was a wonderful experience. Dedicated professors (tutors) who have lived in the industry provide an excellent, practical, and engaging learning environment alongside about 10 other Kiwi students. I enjoyed the practical experience I received at NMIT. I had an excellent teaching experience at a local high school (college) each week. Getting to use the skills learned in the lecture earlier in the week. The tutors are more than willing to help with finding, programming, and executing weekly personal training for clients.
Living in Nelson is beautiful. One of the many panoramic views is from the center of New Zealand Monument, which is just a 20-minute walk from campus and shows New Zealand's epic landscape. A 20-minute bike ride around the bay will land you at the great Tahunanui beach. From there you can see across Tasman Bay and behold the beautiful mountains of the Abel Tasman. There are many shops, pubs, and places to eat in the city center, and lots of events are taking place. Getting involved in the community is very easy. Kiwis are very welcoming people and will give you lots of tips and tricks for exploring the great land of Whakatu (Nelson) and the rest of Aotearoa (New Zealand).
