If you need a resource to help with your studies, get in touch with the Library!

Use the online Get Support(external link) form to contact the Library to:  

  • request a book/resource purchase  
  • request an interloan  
  • get assistance with using resources.  

 

 You can access the Get Support(external link) form from the Library website(external link)’s Support and Services(external link) page or from the Student Support(external link) page.  

Before placing a purchase or interloan request search the following two databases for your title:  

  1. DISCOVERY(external link) (finds articles, eBooks, books, journal titles across most of our Library Catalogue and many of our databases)  
  1. Library Catalogue(external link) (book and journal titles, purchased eBooks, etc, in case what you're after is not captured by DISCOVERY)  

 

IMPORTANT: If you need a resource for a 2025 course, use the online Get Support(external link) form to submit your request as soon as possible before the end of 2024. Only essentials resources will be ordered. 

If you are following up on a purchase request, please email library.acquisitions@nmit.ac.nz (rather than emailing a kaimahi's personal work email address).    

You can also Get Support(external link) from other Learner Services staff regarding:  

  • class support, orientations and tutorials  
  • a Reader/ Writer for student tests or exams  
  • referring a student to support services  
  • staff professional development sessions  

 If your query is about something other than any of the above, you can email library@nmit.ac.nz and we will endeavour to direct your email to someone who can help.
